Admission, licensing and transport
These notes exist because the expensive mistakes in this category are administrative, not technical. Each one ends with the party who can actually confirm it.
Radio equipment admission
In Saudi Arabia, radio equipment is subject to communications-regulator type approval and to import documentation. In the UAE the equivalent requirement sits with its telecommunications regulator. Which approval applies to a specific model depends on the model, the band and the year of import — not on the brand.
Confirm the requirement with the local regulator and your freight forwarder before ordering.Frequency authorisation
A licence to transmit is granted to the operator, not to the equipment supplier. Buying approved hardware does not create a right to use any frequency. Channel plans that are legal in one GCC state may be illegal in the next.

Batteries are shipped under dangerous-goods rules. What is required depends on the battery, whether it is packed with or inside equipment, and the mode of transport. Bulk energy items are frequently restricted to sea or road freight.

The Incoterms on the quotation decide where your responsibility starts. Under DAP terms the buyer handles import clearance and duties; under DDP terms the seller does, and that cost is priced into the quotation rather than added afterwards.

Hardware may be offered as new or as refurbished. The two are never mixed silently on the same quotation line: the condition is stated per line item so that it can be carried into your own purchase records.
